The Black and White Poem

The Black and White Poem

The pearly white sun dripped inky black paint

My world was a pitch-dark theatre

An epic cinematic disaster

The deafening screams grew quietly faint

Some viewers trailed in with muddy feet

Soiling the carpets and staining the rugs

The lone seemingly bored usher shrugged

Shone his flashlight on to a torn sad seat

Credits raced by on the splotchy screen

Some Big names with tiny statures

In this world Who you know only matters

From the upcoming to the has been

Falling stars light up the skies one last time

Last hurrah before darkness wins the fight

Their precious parachute remains shut tight

The tears on the face of a circus mime

Some poems don’t follow any rigid rules

Them verses have a mind of their own

Fearless and form-free they boldly roam

Diving feet-first in empty dry pools.

  1. This is a new side we are getting to read. You are deep diving into ocean of thoughts which are difficult to fathom for a lay man like me. I am trying hard to associate you with this poem. Please write light and easy to enjoy. Nevertheless, a 3 time read to enjoy the deep rooted thoughts.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts once again.
