This is not my Gratitude post for September because I am thankful for what happened today. I could post it in the next month’s Gratitude Hop with Vidya Sury, but I can’t wait that long to tell you my story 🙂

It all started with me wanting to add the ‘Click to Tweet’ button on my blog. I had seen it in many blogs on wordpress but didn’t know how to add it to my site. Today, while reading Sid Balachandran’s blog post ‘Slow down and live more’, I tweeted a couple of profound sentences from his brilliant post. This added fuel to fire and I wanted to have this tiny magical ‘click to tweet’ genie on my blog too.
I googled it but was overwhelmed with the onslaught of information. So I did the next best thing, I posted my query on B-A-R facebook page. I tagged Shailaja and Sid, who were already using this tab in their posts.
This was my query on the facebook page of our blogging group, BlogARhythm (B-A-R)
A technical query how do I add the CLICK to TWEET tab in my blog posts for specific quotes or sentences? Sid Balachandran and Shailaja Vishwanath, noticed them on your blogs
Within a few seconds I received a reply from Shailaja and moments later she sent me the link to the plugin.
Shailaja’s Reply
It’s a plugin, Sulekha. If you are on self-hosted, you should be able to get it easily.
Sid added to the reply by explaining the technical aspects of the plugin.
My question to Sid
I have downloaded the plugin but do I have to put in the code every time I want to tweet a quote or a sentence from my blog posts?
Sid’s reply
Once it is activated, you will get a little tweet icon button where you usually type your post. Just highlight what you want to tweet and click that.- Sid.
This exchange must have taken only a few minutes but the warmth of our conversation and the feeling of belonging to such a wonderful blogging community stayed with me for a long time. It feels nice when your peers offer their support and help when you ask for the same.

Always a pleasure to have you around, Sulekha. Thank you for the warm words about BAR. And so glad you got the plugin to work so well! Kudos!
Shailaja, learning never stops. At 53 years, I am still a novice at so many things 🙂 Thank you for your help.
Happy to have helped, Sulekha. And glad it’s all working. This is what makes the blogging community special
Yes, Sid. We grow as a group when each member feels like she/he is part of this whole.
Sid and Shailaja are always kind and helping. Which reminds me, I have to read Sid’s post.
Alka, that they are and so are the others in our awesome group 🙂 thanks.
Glad you posted this. Happy feelings need to be recorded right then.
Thanks, Tulika 🙂
Ohh I wanted this button since so long. You helped me out with this post 🙂
Anchal, I am so glad my post could help you 🙂 Thanks
Nice to read. Helpful to interact with a lovely community.
Rachna, I love being a part of our very own BAR . Thanks
BAR is indeed a very accommodating group and I am glad to be a part of it. What I love most is that they don’t believe in demanding. They allow you to move along at your own pace while helping you to sail along. Sid has been a wonderful friend from the very first time I started blogging. And Shailaja, I can’t thank my stars enough for connecting me to her. She’s a living example of how life can be transformed according to our will. She’s always there and reaches out just when I need a friend. Much love to everyone a BAR. And congratulations for successfully installing and using the plugin. I’m gonna do it soon too. 🙂
Rekha, yes, yes, and yes to all you said about the BAR and Sid-Shailaja 🙂 Loved your Dak Ghar, read such a moving piece after a long time. Thank you for your lovely comment.
Great post! I truly enjoy being part of a blogging community and find that we are very supportive of one another.

Nupur, appreciate your lovely comment and best wishes.
I like the way the story’s developing through prompts. Good use of the song as a connector.
Nupur, thank you.
