Friends, this is my treasure chest, where I keep my riches. What are these valued possessions? My smiles!!!
Things and people that make me smile everyday are my most prized gems.

What made me happy today?
1. A photograph of my mother, enjoying her walk with my brother and his family at their place near Porbandar, Gujrat. To see her walking after being so seriously ill, was a great moment. This is the first time, since her illness in April this year, that she has traveled out of Bombay.
2. I visited the Shilpotsav yesterday, and found these pretty orange cups and fell in love with them instantly. Their unique shape intrigued me and I had to get them home.
3. I cracked open these three perfect and whole walnuts successfully, early in the morning and felt so happy to have done it. π
These are a few of the things which made my day…

You truly know how to light up my day Outlier. Reading your post now lifted my otherwise low spirit today. We have so many things to be happy about and yet we keep thinking of the sad things. You put me to shame. I promise to dwell on the smaller pleasures in life and all the other happiness each day brings me. Love you.

It's still really early in the morning here, but so far, finding many sweet comments on my blog made me feel happy and cared about.
Then finding your post, seeing your mom recovering, the cute cups, and those perfect walnuts that look like little brains, all made me remember to be grateful and to enjoy the little things.
Thank you for that this morning.
Hugs & Blessings,
Leah
Cute moments Sulekha…keep smiling.
Smiling here. At christmas time one of our customs is to buy a large pack of nuts. Throughout this festive period i try so hard to crack open my 2 favourites without breaking the nut – i'm yet to succeed with either the brazil or walnut. This year i'll crack it right.
Sweet & Simple — This made me smile from ear to ear. The quote at the end is perfect! Also, inspires me to look at my day through a similar lens — thank you! Blessings!
Sulekha I clearly remember commenting..anyway here I go again..First of all I loved seeing your pictures…and it really made a difference to my day, teaching me to enjoy the simple things life has to offer. My day had nothing unique..just another lazy Sunday, the only highlight being a hair spa..
My smile this morning came from my grandson and his antics. Oh it is a wonderful day. thank you for the post.
What a beautiful face your mother has Luks. She is lovely. So glad she is out walking. You made me smile.
I've smiled today…laughed, snuggled with my little one's, hugged & told my guy that I love him before he left to run an errand and I took a nap.
I read this and got teary eyed because I know the feeling of watching someone sick…and when I saw the sweet, sweet picture of your Momma tears came to my eyes.
Thank you for reminding me of all that I am grateful to have in my life!
Smiling at simple things… Today I cleaned my office and cleared out a bunch of stuff I no longer need. It was hard work, yet rewarding. Still, a simple act.
