Hang in there! I promise you this; I will see you soon. It has been more than 20 years since I last saw you, your memory has kept me going all these years but enough is enough. I can no longer live on a memory, I have to see you. I wonder how you look, has time been kind to you, only time will tell 🙂
I remember the blissful days when I could gaze at you lovingly for as long as I wanted. Nothing could come between us then, now things are different. Try as I might, I cannot even take a peek at you. The obstacles in our path were impossible to bypass. You live in my heart and mind but out of sight of my parched eyes.
Last week I bought a lovely lamp to help me get there, I need a Genie to aid me in keeping my promise to you. I hope you don’t shy away from my adoring eyes tomorrow, please don’t hide from me like you’ve been doing for the past 20 years. I have to see you for my peace of mind, my darling toes.
