Today’s prompt at the BarAThon is FRAGILE LIVES and I bring you  some mini poems (three lines with seventeen syllables in each short poem)

Fragile lives cringe

Shatter by the cruel blows

Of their kith and kin

The hungry girl cries

The boys are fed first always

Her big brother smiles

The new bride cowers

While perfect strangers judge her

She dare not complain

She was found hanging

Her room bolted from inside

Driven to end her life

Fragile lives cringe

Shatter by the cruel blows

Of their kith and kin

  1. Heart wrenching. Its amazing they way you put a few words together expressing life’s miseries in entirety.

  2. Our world is such a complex mix of people… Some drive others to death while few still spread goodness. You depicted the harsh truth… How we suffer at the hands of the same species.
