100 Words on Saturday from Write Tribe
Today’s prompt is – It does feel like home, doesn’t it?
They froze on hearing angry raised voices.
“It does feel like home, doesn’t it?”, asked Rachel, and Mike nodded his head in agreement. His pale face and vacant eyes peered at Rachel’s equally sad and ashen face.
“I hate my life and I abhor you”, yelled Asha, but Raj wasn’t about to let her get away with this insult without any repercussions. His retort singed her soul, “I rue the day I married you”.
They stormed off to different rooms and retired for the night. The gloomy house was as silent as the cemetery Rachel and Mike were buried in.

Oh my. Now that makes me wonder if Rachel and Mike were a couple who fought like Raj and Asha, or the kids of such a fighting family, that their souls felt at home with the yelling match. Interesting take on the prompt.
You’ve got me thinking too 🙂 thanks Leo.

Laurel, sometimes I write and then read what is on the paper 🙂 thanks
