The NaPoWriMo challenge is to write a poem a day for the month of April.
Was it all in my head?
Was it entirely my fault?
Was my crazy mind,
playing cruel tricks on me.
Did I hear something,
which was never said?
Did I imagine it all?
Was any of it real?
Please correct me,
if I am wrong.
I don’t want to be,
somewhere , I don’t,
absolutely belong.
Put me out of my misery.
Either reach out to me,
Or brush my hand away.
Either don’t let me go,
OR,
Never ask me to stay.

Hello Sulekha.
It's amazing how misinterpretation can make everything spiral out of control. Very powerful ending.
Thanks for sharing.
Day 5: Empty streams
Andy, Communication is the key in any relationship. Thank you for visiting and for your comment.
Great write, Sulekha. Really captures the push and pull and the room for misinterpretation in a relationship that isn't quite working.
Chris, Thank you for your thoughtful comment.
This is nice and so true. 'We see what we want to see'.
Janaki, Yes we do, appreciate your comment.
Miscommunication makes us feel like we're the crazy ones instead of the other way around! :p Love this, Sulekha!
Sweepyjean, We are never crazy, the others are 😉 thanks
It is so often the case. It is so frustrating sometimes when the person on the other side does not understand what we are going through. I could sense it in this poem, the hair pulling desperateness is trying to be heard and understood
