My journal of Smiles ๐ …Lucks
Friends, this is my treasure chest, where I keep my riches. What are these valued possessions? My smiles!!!
Things and people that make me smile everyday are my most prized gems.

What made me happy today?
1. I woke up early and went for a morning walk in the fog. Had a wonderful time, winter is here to stay and there’s no better time to be out there, than in the early hours of the morning. My Sparky loves going for walks during the winter season.
2. There’s a very sweet, old dog, who lives on the ground floor of the building which houses my gym. This one is one moody lady and doesn’t accept food from people she is not familiar with. I have been trying to be friends with her for a long time now but she has been resisting my efforts. Today she smiled at me, almost smiled :), wagged her tail and accepted biscuits from me, yay, I am thrilled.
3. I was greeted with a chorus of ‘good morning’ by a room full of people at the reception, the moment I entered my Gym. This simple gesture made me happy and welcomed. We don’t realize it but little things make a big difference to our lives and on some days these tiny gestures brighten our otherwise weary and drab days.
These are a few of the things which made my day…

Lovely Outlier. Talking about dogs. I have a neighbor who has a dog called Max. He is the goonda of this neighborhood. But every morning he comes to greet me with a lick and a wag. He always makes me smile and feel happy
Beautiful post Lucks…we keep cribbing about small bad things, but forget to be thankful for the small good things! Thank you for reminding me to be grateful…hugs!
Mitr wonderful post and even better pics! This was really refreshing!
Oh how wonderful having walks on winter ;)… and even Sparky liked it :)…I could just imagine ๐
Today, I went back to blogging…it was taking me too long to wait on my mood lol…plus I still have one coming up for Roy's Poe-a-tree hop;
Two, I forgave myself for a grave mistake I made at work…hmmm;
Three, I began to appreciate my colleagues who've been out for a few days since they went to Vietnam;
Four, I was patient with my dad lol (it isn't always the case)…
Five, I treated myself to a nice lunch. I haven't done that in a few months ๐
Six, I landed in your blogpage and was able to pause, reflect and thank God for all the blessings I've received throughout the day :)…How lovely!
Thanks so much Sulekha. You have a very beautiful heart…
What a lovely feel today's post has. I have many such moments.
1. Feeling the cold breeze against my hair and cheeks.
2. Kissing my sleeping husband.
3. Awaiting the time I get back home and lie down on my bed.
4. Reading lovely posts as these.
And, Sulekkha, thanks for this wonderful post. Made me warm and fuzzy.
Joy always,
Susan
It's often the little things that make such a big difference in our life as I treasure time spent lying next to Cody being his everything as I was to Erin. Watching my nephew Brennan smile at me is so endearing and makes me feel good. Then there's the lady at the coffee shop who is my mom 2.0, she gives me free coffee etc when I'm not feeling well to cheer me up…That small gesture goes a long way!! Little things are indeed precious!!
Very nice!winter is approaching here too and morning fogs are getting thicker. Talking about dogs, they are really very sensitive. My friend Anna's pet is a huge black Lab and he responds only to 'Brother black'call. You call him just 'blacky' and be sure to get barked at!! Sulekha, you always find some nicety in the little things of life.Thanks for sharing.

Sulekkha, that photo of Sparky walking in the mist made me grin from ear to ear! You see, I remembered my walk with Roxy the other day! The mist was as thick as the one featured in your photos! Roxy loved it! ๐

@Adriene, Lovely to see you here friend. Thank you for your sweet compliment.
Very true, it's the small things. First the pictures are mood setters. I quite enjoy the early morning, hazy, not yet awake feeling. Lovely moments for me is still finding words to write, still finding a story in my head, reading a book and loving it, when my daughter calls home, getting an email from an editor. Little things go a long-long way for me.
I visited a butterfly preserve today. Big smiles. ๐
@Brenda, Thanks for visiting and sharing your thoughts.
@Rachel, Butterfly preserve sounds lovely.
