Featherlight snowflakes
Falling where they please.
Sheets of white silk
Floating in the breeze.
A blanket of pristine Blanc
Covering the Earth’s bosom
Hiding secrets, covering flaws
Serenading the fair maiden.
When tomorrow comes
All will be concealed
No blemishes will remain
All hurts will be healed.
The ground beneath the snow
will definitely know
What the eyes cannot see
The Underbelly of purity
Is sometimes pretty ugly.
Betrayals are like black ice
Form quietly under the snow
When one is not looking
They land a sneaky blow.
While it hurts for a while
You still find reasons to smile
Life is not all downhill
One day, you will begin to climb.
Don’t lose, hope, and carry on
The darkness will dispel
What tomorrow will bring?
Who can really tell?

Beautiful! Such a joy to watch you grow into your power as a poet. Keep shining bright!
Thank you, Jade. I am learning every day.:)
