This Mother’s Day I wish and pray
The past year was a nightmare
That I will wake up any day
And see my mom with me here.
Last June she bid us goodbye
Couldn’t stay however much we tried
The angels wiped our eyes dry
Some of them at our plight even cried.
Mothers are treated with a lot of respect
Heaven welcomes them with open arms
Afterlife is not what we fear and expect
Here moms are safe and come to no harm
Hand over my heart I sit and sigh
Mummy could I see you once more?
I promise I will not scream and cry
When you have to walk out the door
Mummy, I miss you so every single day
Your loving memory is with me forever
I still had so much to listen to and say
Your blessings, hugs, kisses are my treasure
Your loving daughter
Lucky
