Kyun Nahin?

This is a story of two friends

Who met by chance

Stayed together by choice

Had each other’s back.

 

Both adore each other.

While one has run away from home

To Escape marriage

Other was shunned by the world.

 

Their drive to succeed in life

Cements their friendship

Learning about each other’s struggle

Strengthens their fragile bond.

 

She was born a He

The body was alien to her soul

No one understood her agony

They tormented her with taunts.

 

While one had no parents

But a misguided guardian

Wanting to push her ward into

An unhappy and unsuited alliance.

 

These bruised souls found each other

Recognised the inherent goodness

Infinite kindness, unconditional acceptance

Reflected in each other’s hearts..

 

The world was a better place now

Nothing could harm them

They could live happily ever after

Or could they?
