Weirdly Vibrant

Today we had a major fight

He didn’t like the way I poured,

washing liquid in the machine.

He knows I never measure, ever

So what was it really about?

He got out of bed the wrong side?

Couldn’t he sleep well at night?

To yell at me when did he decide?

Don’t you agree that it’s not right?

In our three decades plus of married life

When have I ever used kitchen scales

Or any other silly measuring device?

Can’t recollect a time, my memory fails.

Wait till the clothes come out soft and clean

Like from the kitchen emerges delicious food

There is no reason to be aggressive and mean

It felt like I was being prosecuted and ridiculed.

You didn’t think twice before marrying this fool

Now it’s far too late to question your decision

If you look closely you’d see she is pretty cool

Be nice, appreciate her weirdly vibrant vision.
