THE LAUGHING HAIKU #WednesdayVerses

HAIKU on LAUGHTER

We sweat in summers

Lie shivering in the cold

Seasons laugh at us

Why do you cry so?

Who took away your sparkle?

Laughter questions me

Why do clowns dress up?

Painted faces, red noses

Laughter hides their pain

Did you laugh today?

Bet it felt good to do so

Sorrow asks a smile

She skips happily

Unmindful of tragedy

Tears follow laughter

When sorrow plunges

A knife in to laughter’s heart

Sobbing souls endure
