Reflections – Why I Love Blogging in April :)

What do I do after April?

Blogging from A to Zย  April Challenge Reflections Post 2014

A-to-Z_Reflection_[2014]You can read my story of 26 parts here, every story begins with an alphabet from A to Z. I participated in the blogging from A to Z Challenge from 1-30 April, 2014 and my theme for the challenge was 55 Fiction, stories in 55 words. I hope you enjoyed my story.

This April I scored a hat rick ๐Ÿ™‚ย  it was the third time I was participating in the blogging from A to Z challenge and like the last two times, this one was fun too. Although at the beginning, I was scared and paranoid about posting every day; reading fellow-bloggers posts and commenting on them, I developed a rhythm after the first week into the challenge.

I decided to schedule my posts, read and comment on othersโ€™ posts and save replying to the comments for May. This helped me catch my breath and enjoy this beautiful meeting of minds, and what articulate minds they are! I discovered some new blogs, revisited a few old ones, connected with prolific writers and enriched my literary experience.

I came across some generous, selfless writers who took pleasure in promoting othersโ€™ work, hats off to them. These are just a few names of those ย lovely people I am sharing here, there are plenty more out thereโ€ฆShilpa Garg, Kajal Kapur, Vidya Suri, Shailaja, Bhavya, Corinne, Aditi, Richa, and Damyanti G. A huge thank you to all my friends who visited my blog, left beautiful comments and made me feel happy to be a participant in this challenge.

I am all geared up for my 4th challenge, alas it will be a whole year before it arrives but until then I am going to be honing my skills and sharpening my pencils, free-writing and just scribbling to get in the groove. I have also announced my book, Siyahi – The Ink, after the challenge got over and was experiencing withdrawal symptoms, letโ€™s where it goesโ€ฆ

How was your experience during this blogging challenge? Did you have fun? Will you go for it next year? Write your replies in the comments and make an old woman happy ๐Ÿ™‚
