Masks

Masks hide our true face and help us blend in without revealing who we really are. They protect us from scrutiny and shield us from prying strangers’eyes.

We all wear masks, and the time comes when we cannot remove them without removing some of our own skin.  ~André Berthiaume

  1. Dear Sulekha,
Your words are true. Sadly in life, there are times when we must wear a different expression depending on the situation. It is something we really cannot escape. Very interesting post today!!

  2. We do indeed. We don't reveal all of our inner self to everyone in our life.. thus the need for masks. There is a great sone, Faces of Stranger, by Billy Joel. Have a listen (probably available on youtube).. great description of this human behavior.

    1. Thanks for the song tip, will definitely listen to it. Why don't we reveal our inner self to people, one special person?

  3. So that is what happened to my skin! LOL! This is such a true saying. I feel my best when I am with friends and loved ones who I can just be myself with. My shoulders aren't all tense and I can laugh as loud as I want, be silly and just be me. We all should make it easier for ourselves and others to take off these darn masks! 🙂

    1. I agree with you, that's why we love hanging out with friends who don't judge us and let us be 🙂 thanks Mamita 🙂
