Wedding Express #AtoZChallenge

Wedding Express going on full steam for the last 28 years, hoping to double this figure in the coming years 🙂

Blogging From A to Z Challenge (April 2016)

The theme I’ve chosen for this year’s blogging challenge is ‘Travel’, and in keeping with my  theme I have taken you along on my fun trips to various places to date. Some of my travel destinations are inaccessible by air, land and water and an active imagination is what you need for going to these out of the world destinations. Today I am taking you on my wedding express and letting you in on a secret 🙂

What is a marriage?

After 28 years of fighting and arguing over the remote, making bed-tea, switching off the bedroom light at night and locking the door, I have come to a conclusion. Marriage is hard but also very easy; it is rough going but smooth sailing too. Two people jump into the cesspool of emotions, affection, duties, responsibilities and quirkiness of their extended families. The couple that can survive all this and still be able to laugh at the silly things in life, face the daily challenges life throws their way and hold hands while walking in the rain, gets to be in the first class of the wedding express for life.

There are a few lucky ones who don’t change themselves for the other but make little adjustments to accommodate their other half’s point of view while retaining their own. This amalgamation of personalities and their personal tastes and preferences into a joint whole makes for a happy and lasting marriage. Each one makes the other stronger by adding their strength to their partner’s. One of the two always makes an extra effort, listens more attentively and cares more deeply; I thank God for giving me the more accommodating and understanding life partner, also more loving 🙂
